Guide to Rock Concerts in Scotland 2017

If you’re a keen one for concerts just like me, but are not quite sure what is coming up this year, hopefully my list will help you out. Read below for my top picks for rock concerts around Scotland this year!

Black Sabbath – 24/01/17 – SSE Hydro

I put this one at the top because it is only a couple of days away! The heavy metal icons return with their last ever tour together. This is your last chance to see the pioneering band and there are only a few tickets left!

KISS – 27/05/17 – SSE Hydro

Th glam rockers are kicking off their 4 date UK tour in Glasgow for KISSWORLD 2017. The band announced they would be playing their classics, along with lesser known songs for the die hard fans.

Seasick Steve – 19/04/17 – Usher Hall

Edinburgh’s Usher Hall will host Seasick Steve’s return to Scotland. Following from the success of his 5th consecutive U.K. Top 10 album last year, he will bring the blues to Edinburgh in May.

Deep Purple – 22/11/17 – SSE Hydro

‘The Long Goodbye Tour’ suggests this may be the bands final tour later this year, so it will be something not to miss. Plus, Europe will support them across the U.K.; even more reason to go!

ZZ Top – 26/07/17 – O2 Academy Glasgow

In July, the Texas rockers will bring their ‘Tonnage Tour’ to the U.K., which will be their first gig in Scotland since their gig at the Apollo Theatre in Glasgow in 1983.

Alice Cooper – 12/11/17 – SSE Hydro

Later this year, Alice Cooper will tour the country with his first headline tour in 5 years with The Mission and The Tubes. Glasgow will be the ‘Poison’ singers second stop on his five date trip.

To keep up to date with upcoming concerts in Scotland, Gigs In Scotland is very useful. Happy concerting!
