From now on, on the 4th of January every year, I want everyone to celebrate the mighty band called The Doors. This is a request not only by me, but also by the city of Los Angeles, who have proclaimed the date as the ‘Day of The Doors’.
In true Jim Morrison style, it would be fitting to go wild, go crazy, and simply not care.
As 2016 comes to an end, I think we can all say it has whizzed past. It doesn’t seem that long ago when I heard the news of the passing of David Bowie, or the death of legend Prince either. But there has been some great music to focus on, so here’s my top 5 rock songs of this year.
Last Friday, Canadian rock band Rush released a reissue for 2112, as this year marked the landmark album’s 40th anniversary. The reissue features a variety of raw and rare, live and unreleased songs, along with covers by artists carefully selected by the band.
